Heart wrenching, poignant, and utterly timeless, "La Traviata" features some of Verdi's most unforgettable arias includes everything that makes opera such a unique and moving art form. Experience this timeless story of passion, life, and death, performed live and in concert by the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea under the direction Father Alphonse Stephenson. The opera will be presented in two acts and adapted for soloists, including New Jersey soprano Victoria Cannizzo as Violetta.

There's so much to enjoy as three masters of music come together for one magical multimedia matinee at Algonquin Arts Theatre. Father Alphonse Stephenson, one of the three masters, conducts the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea in a benefit for the Cecelia Foundation, which celebrations 27 years of music scholarship and providing professional instruments to students in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. The concert presents the work of two master composers, featuring George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Georgetown University Professor Anna Harwell Celenza guide patrons through the composers' inspiration, including projections on the theatre screen of the art on which Mussorgsky based his music.
